About us ...

The 7th Felixstowe Scout Group was formed in 1970 when the 3rd and 4th Felixstowe Scout groups merged. The scarf of the 7th Felixstowe combined the scarf colours of the 3rd and 4th - maroon with a yellow border. We've a long heritage stretching back to the 1950's. The group includes both boys and girls, ranging from six to 15 years of age, and is run by volunteer adult and youth leaders. The 7th is proud to have served the local Felixstowe community for over 40 years and has helped develop many generations of scouts.

We have our own hut which was built in 1950, with a piece of land surrounding it, where we build camp fires, sing, practice 'backwoods' cooking and play a wide range of outdoor games.

We have our own allotment on site where we grow vegetables for camp as part of our drive towards self-sufficiency. This year we had a bumper crop of pumpkins!

Camping is great fun and involves many exciting activities, including abseiling, canoeing, night hikes, 'backwoods', cooking, pedal cars, sailing, climbing, archery, camp fires, high-ropes. And, of course, we get to meet fellow scouts from all over the world.
